We've been shopping wood inserts for a couple months and have a bit of a picky wishlist...and so far we've only found one insert that ticks all the boxes. But maybe we're missing some makes/models.

The wishlist is:
  • Non-Flush, we like having a ledge on top to place a kettle/humidifier
  • Cam-Lock Door, we prefer this door type over the latch style particularly for the benefit of being able to squeeze the seals a bit more
  • 180-Degree Door, the ability to open the door fully flush, rather than just 90-degrees
  • Right Hung Door, with the door latch on the left, hinge on the right
  • Hybrid Cat, we've read all the threads:-)
What seems to be the biggest hang-up is finding one non-flush & 180-degree door together...so far the Regency i2500 seems to be the only one in our research. The one thing we're on the fence is, it seems the Regency with the cat engaged sends that heat up the flue missing the chance to capture the extra heat generated by the cat, so appreciate any other suggestions we might've missed.

Go for the i2450 and drop the last qualifier. It's just adding more maintenance.
