My big Jack furnace melted the fan support for my humidifier. I have had this set up for about 10 years so I shouldn’t complain. However, I don’t want to replace it with a new one and have the same thing happen. What can be done to prevent this?
I’m not sure what caused this, perhaps loss of power. It happened once before, and I took the humidifier apart and trimmed away the plastic that was interfering with the fan. This time there was no repairing it.

Where is it in the pic there?
Can you have something made up out of sheet metal?

I believe it's right here.
