WOW a brand new only 8 year old Harman accentra??

I guess the $2800 deal that I got on my stove wasn't so great after all, when I checked the manufacturer date AFTER I installed it. Said May 2006. Live and learn the hard way. This was from a VERY well known dealer in my area with all high end products. I didn't think they would sucker punch me like that. I still have the nice Harman warranty. I just hope the stove is ok. Does anyone know if there were any problems with the 2006 model? ?

Just picked up a used 08 that turned out to be an 06,very dirty and needs factory mods.Paid a grand,fair price out here.2800 is cheap for a brand new older one,last years would have cost you over 33.Still has warr.Older ones have a problem with smoke going back into the hopper and pusher,and some had the xtra holes in burn pot that did not work well,burns fire too far back and can cause auger damage.Search threads here for gummy stove and smoke in hopper,you will learn much.I bet if it has not been done your dealer will replace pot with new version,and addind the air hose kit to the rear does not take long.Bob

It could have been lightly used which if it sat most of the time that would be acceptable.

Wow, I'd be a tad angry if I was you. Back in 2008 that was a huge run on pellet stoves, and Harman couldn't keep up with the demand. Those of us who bought one had to be on a very long waiting list. I am surprised, and suspicious, that there was a 2006 stove even left over. The dealer has some explaining to do....

After I posted I noticed you are from Maryland. The demand probably wasn't as high as in the Northeast. It's still strange. You had to know you were getting a discount for some reason, now you know!

Yes. I did not think of checking the date because this is a well known dealer around hear.
(Mace Energy) . He must have a lot of old new stock. And yes it is new (never fired).
But I did get a harman direct vent. Enough double wall pipe for my fithwheel install.
A harman iron base . And a ton of hamer Hot ones for a out the door price of $3800

It's nice. But I'd like to take my rig and my Harman out westward. Never been west. Truck won't pull it. To old. But at least i will be warm this winter. ha.

You installed that in a slideout in a 5th wheel ? I'd be very leery that the slide out could take that much weight, especially bouncing down the highway.

In other post he has slide well supported.He researched it very well.But good to be leary as an accentra is 350 empty.

yes but keep in mind that I live full time. My rig only moves in an emergency. Got to make it your home not a play vehicle. Hopefully soon will be able to sustain 100% off the grid. As long as I have a good pellet reserve.

I guess as you are stationary, it will hold the weight. As a long time 5th wheel owner myself and having looked at many a rig at RV shows, there's no way I'd have a pellet stove sitting in a slideout bouncing down the road. These RV's are built like crap nowadays.

LOL! NO. No slides out while driving. That would be a major OOPS! I have a feeling i forgot something moment. ..would probably have to remove the stack to.

when the slide is retracted the slide out floor is not supported, it sits up off the main floor just a bit so if it was me I would scoot the pellet stove onto the main floor if you ever have to move the camper.You should be nice and toasty though in your camper.
