I don't think that's what he was implying, because I can tell ya there's just as many EPA stove owners with poor burning habits. I think what it all boils down to is getting your wood split and seasoned well-ahead of when you're gonna need to use it (3 years optimally), keeping your chimney clean (good burning habits AND a thorough understanding of how YOUR stove works), and common sense. Those traits make a good woodburner, not the stove.Weatherguy, pretty ignorant statement there. I have a "smoke dragon" and I love it. Don't have to worry about burning the house down, bugs coming in with wood, smoke in the house, ashes in the house, and it is the same temperature in every room. I burn dry seasoned wood. I grew up with an insert so I have experience with both. Its amazing how so many people on here think they are better than every one else.
