Winter wonderland, so much better to have a bit of white stuff when having to deal with the cold
Eventually it gets old.
Used to love it when my Pap would cut me loose with the old 1T chevy on a parking lot while he ran the loader.
I don't miss shoveling out from garages and doorways though:mad:

Not sure about you Dave but if I have to put up with the cold temperatures it just seems right to have the snow too.

Doesn't look like we're in for much of either anytime soon does it Dennis?

Yea
I like the snow. Good for the yard & other plants to have snow to help insulate the roots .
Warms up here to snow. 28° today.
Hoping to get 2 feet or so. A good base to get the snowmachine out :)

It's about time Dave! I figured you would have had snow long before now. We are expecting a big storm here Monday. So far it has just about every ingredient. Snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain. Too close to call so it's a wait and see event.

Beautiful views Dave!

Looks good Dave with all that snow. Nice to see all that wood when everything is all white.

was looking forward to seeing your place in the snow...

Looks alot better than what we have here Dave. No snow! Did you get the wood re-stacked that fell from the earthquake? If not, looks like it can wait till spring/July.

Yes, I'd rather have the snow with the cold. Gives the rugrats something to do outside.

Where's the damm "love it" tab here........I love these pics! I'm as jealous as one can get, I really don't see any winter weather in sight here in central PA. The past two winters have been absolutely PATHETIC. :(

Not yet.
May end up waiting like you mentioned.
Wind will come again & the snow on the stack will be gone or drifted over. Then I'll decide.

Don't tempt me, Dave.....I'll do it! I've long dreamt of coming to Alaska!

If the wife finds out I've got an open ticket to Alaska, that damm living room will NEVER get done!

I'm on my 7th "5 year plan"
Wife & I said try it for 5 years in April, 1982.
Loaded up the 2 kids & drove to Alaska.
Then 5 more years.... etc. Still here. LOL

Every time I go back East, I'm good for a couple weeks. Then time to get out of all the traffic, hurry up, development & crowds.

I've long dreamt of coming to Alaska!
AND?
What are dreams for?
You only live once. Might as well make it an adventure ;)

LOL :) , Just poking fun. You would love it though.

Got maybe 6-7" out this way. Got 12+ in Los Anchorage. Was deep enough that I got stuck a few times on my way to work. Snow was rolling over the hood and covering the windshield.

Already tired of it. :p Spent almost 8 hrs at work clearing snow only to come home and do the same. Oh the the idiot vehicle manager that decided to buy F450 2wd duallie stake bed trucks for us.. .thanks a bunch. Completely useless 6 months out of the year.

What would posess someone to go with a 2WD in a place like Alaska . . . well . . . unless he was being cheap.

Nothing at all on the horizon except some rain this weekend. We still were scraping snow off the logs today when cutting but there is not much left. In the open areas it is all gone. Really warmed up today too and it felt good to be out there even if I didn't get much done.

Wish we had snow like that here Dave! How much do you get total from this snow? We got none here last winter except for a bit in October, and looks like we won't have any here until January. I've got to get up to Alaska someday!

Dave, beautiful pictures as always ! I'm hoping for a decent snow fall year. Last year was horrible . Like was stated before, if it's cold , there should be snow . :)
