I've finished the rebuild on that worn out 024AV powerhead that I had picked up in a lot of Stihl parts below:
I ended up putting a mint used OEM cylinder in it with a new aftermarket piston and rings, rebuilt the carb, and found a used air filter cover too.
Sold the 2x041, 3x009, 015 handle, and 024/026 starter in the photo on ebay. Working on the 025 now.
The video is about 7 minutes long and was intended to go with a CL ad for the saw. However I like the way this little "Pro Limber" cuts so well I just might keep it! After listening to the video I realized the steady shooting in the distance............just a typical Sunday afternoon in my neck-of-the-woods. I get into cutting some poison ivy vines at the end. I didn't see them till I was getting ready to cut the bottom log............. then I almost whack myself in the face with a big branch from the vines when turning the cut piece over.............. I'm real allergic to poison ivy.
This video also shows what I'm cutting and burning the most......... rounds from tree tops. I sell all my big timber worthy trunks and burn the rest. That's why I still hand split what I need too, I'm not handling/bucking up a big trunks into rounds. I'm mostly just dealing with "tops" 14-16" and smaller to split, and I don't usually split anything less than about 8". That's why I have so many "limbing" size saws
