Hi all
I was wondering if some of you could give me some advice on a Install I am thinking about
Right now I have a wood burning insert installed in my masonry fireplace
A year ago I relined the chimney with 8" SS flu liner
I was thinking of changing out my wood stove for a Harman 52I
Will I need to run a new flue pipe inside my existing or can I just purchase a adapter to go on my existing 8" pipe
Also I was trying to figure out something for the outside air on the unit

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Jason

Some people insist you need to use a new pipe but I been using a 8X10 inch clay flue for 12 years with no problem. The only thing I seen was if it was real cold as -15 degrees F and I started the stove it had to be started twice before the smoke made it to the top of the chimney and started warming it up. Once the chimney was warm it ran fine. If money is no object you could run a 4 inch pipe to the top plus run another pipe to the top for your fresh air intake. If you do that make sure the exh is a foot taller then the fresh air intake.
