After reading on Hearth.com about the SuperCedars, and putting them on my X-Mas list, I am very happy with them. Taking the advice of others, I cut them into fourths, and then put that on a piece of bark, put some scrap wood on top slowly, and voila, a nice fire in a few minutes. No messing with paper, all the ash, blowing on coals.
A truly refined way to start a fire. Seeing as I only start a cold fire 25 times a year probably...6 Super Cedars a year is all I'd use. A nominal price to pay for convenience. The best part is everyone asking why you asked for hockey pucks for X-Mas
