If you look on the Blaze King website under "new products" there is a page called "Sirocco 20" but I think it is a picture of the Chinook 30. Someone had posted that the comin "Chinook 20" was a smaller version (1.8 cu ft) of the Chinook 30, so I'm curious what stove type the sirocco would be. Anyone with info or educated guesses? Thanks!

The Sirroco is going to have the same fire box as the Chinook 20 but have a more traditional metal stove look. BKVP said dealers can order the Chinook 20 now but the other stove will be out a little later this year. they are both achieving 20 hour burns in testing.

Thanks for the update Todd! Looking forward to seeing both; the Chinook 30 is a bit large for the room I'm hoping to put a new stove in . . .

I owned a scirroco in high school. It was a VW car that looked sort of like a smashed rabbit. Good memories in that car.

Why on earth would someone want a tiny cat stove? The larger ones can be dampered down to output so very little heat that you might not know they were running.

Sometimes those monster cat stoves look out of place in a smaller home or room. I consider a 1.8 cu ft stove to be more of a medium range stove which is a good fit for me. I also don't need a 40 hour burn time, a good consistant 12 hour even output burn is perfect.

Cool car, I only had a Pinto. ;(
"Tiny" is relative; the 1.8 cubic ft firebox is larger than some popular Woodstock cat stoves, but I hear you. I think a larger stove can be tough to fit in a small room and may cost a bit more too . . .

Space/clearances and proportions to the living space.

I wouldn't mind a smaller stove. The Princess is too much stove for my house for the most part. Last night with it -15* I loaded it up about 3/4 full around midnight and it got up to 80* in the house. It's still 78* in here now at 1PM.

Many people have smaller well insulated homes and aren't heating screen door mansions that require a big stove.

Wife wants a Princess to add to our house (yeah!), but I'm wondering if these new ones wouldn't be better. 3000 sq. ft home in Minnesota but already have an Enerzone 2.5 ZC which does a decent job of heating the main floor and the upstairs. We are finishing the unfinished portion of our basement and need more heat down there.

What I'm thinking of doing is running the Enerzone's auxillary fan to the basement nonstop and using the Princess to do most of the mainfloor and upstairs. Still, I'm wondering if this setup will be too much and the house will be 80 all the time. Even without the Enerzone running its primary fans, it kicks out some decent heat. Maybe these little Blaze Kings would better suit us?

do you know the BK dealer from southern MN? He has some real nice prices and was selling out of his home.

No I don't. I called the Osage Iowa Dealer. Who are you referring to?

Amen. They need to Chinook the firebox in the Apex.

Lots of reasons, like space, clearances and cost for starters. Looks might be another.

I don't know the MSRP but at the local stove place the Chinook was a few hundred more than the King, I want to say around $3400
