sorry i'll remove my undeserving happy post/pic. we can't all buy 22 tons...

Shucks I missed it. I have pellet buying envy so even a small score would be good from me. Multiple small scores add up to big stashes! ;-)

Please post your stuff and remove the delete. We wanna see. Pfft to ironpony! :red:

that was a nice load < lets get that pick back up, looks like you will have a nice warm home:)

Pic? Heck any amount of pellets is a good amount... more than you had before !!!

Yeah Pfft to ironpony.
He better hope we don't find his stash,

Please repost.... No need to delete.

Ironpony is a little intimidating. But we all mean well at the end of the day.

Some sarcasm may not come across as such, but no one means any harm...

His 22 ton has had to have a dent pit in it after last season and this season. After 2 yrs, he has had to use some.... My guess is at least 5 ton over the last 2 seasons (17 left??) ;-P. Running and hiding... Sorry ironpony

I think ip posted he used somewhere around 6 tons a season. I'm betting he has less than 12 tons left of the 22. He needs to update his stash amount! ;-P

OMV's gonna be mighty upset when he gets there to ponder that 22 ton haul. And all that's left is a mere 12 tons(might even be less)! :cheese:

LOL, OK, thanks for the nice words guys...here's my pic. Admittedly small but for $130 total I think I did OK. All Barefoots (17 bags) and 14 packs of Envi Bricks for occasional use in the Fireview. Between the two stoves the house was a toasty 68 degrees last night - woohoo!

Made me drool! But I'm a very sick pig. 1 bag of the good stuff will make me tingle. 2 and I'm slipping in the stuff! That right there is the good stuff too! ;-)

Tell us what you think and where you scored them. A price would also help us scrounging for stash fillers! :cheese:

O' and get ride of that delete too! :cheese: A mod may happen by and send it far far away. Never too be seen on hearth again.

I got them at Trading Post, the Newtown shop. I think New Milford is bigger but I've not been there. I've been in the Newtown shop twice including today, and spoken with them on the phone 2-3 times, and they knew my name when I walked in today. (That could be good or bad, I guess...maybe I'm the PIA customer..?! Ha.)

Anyway when I first went they had Green Teams on their covered porch. Today my heart leaped when I saw Barefoots for the first time IRL. $6 a bag for regular price, not sure what they are by the ton. Most places around here seem to be $6/bag no matter what you buy. I did see North Americans at Lowes for $5.XX/bag but my car was full of insulation at the time. Palace Aids in Torrington will store your pellets for you - awesome idea - if only they were not 25 miles away.

And the 6 packs of Envi Bricks were $3.50 each - DH really likes to toss one of these onto hot coals at 6 AM as part of the morning load - ensures that he gets a good fire going on the first try. And we're new to all this so that's worth something.

That's all I've got. Oh Hocon told me $6.50/bag for O'Malleys so I didn't go. $259/ton but they were not sure how much it would cost to deliver...so I didn't pursue. Maybe in the late Spring/Summer when I start shopping for Fall I'll give another call.

Thanks again guys!

Everyone loves some good ol' fashioned pellet porn! ;-)

Looks good to me.
Can't touch BF's around
here for less than about
$6 a bag. Don't know
how much the bricks
are but I know the guy
near me doesn't give em away.

Hey now...extra credit goes to the pigs that have to stuff their vehicles to get a good haul home!

I probably wouldn't be buying any either if I had your stash! I have less than 1 ton left. Debating on getting more now....

I got down to 2 tons this weekend....got panic strickened and bought half a ton of Greene Team....

Well Mary, now ya gone and done it. The pellet pigs have been let out of their pens and running amok!! Dont know if the kids will get to sleep tonight.

Those who are having withdrawals, repeat after me:

Grant me the serenety to accept that they are just pellets
The ability to drive by a stove shop without stopping
And the wisdom to say the hell with it and realize a great pellet score and buy more no matter what

edit: great looking pups there on your pic !

Come on bear, Tell us the truth. If you trip over a deal, You'd be doing an OMV to them! :cheese:

1st deal I see under $200 clams, I'll be doing an OMV!

What I meant was if you found pellets at $150 a ton. You'd try to get some at least. I am in the same boat. I want to stuff in 20 tons to ride the waves. But I ain't got no stinkin room. I'll refill to near 5 tons and pray the prices don't climb to the 2008 crap!

Luckily this season has been pretty easy on the stash! ;-)
