I'd like it to stop, but know it won't until sometime in May. Maybe it'll come a bit early, since the winter's been so mild. Sure it will, Dave, sure it will....
Many plans for this coming spring/summer/fall, but a lot won't get done. Just not enough time or energy, but I keep trying.
We got a good snow a couple days ago (5-6") and forecast is calling for another storm to start tomorrow. That's why I still have on my long johns and the boots by the door, and the plow is still on the tractor.
I'm ready for whatever.

Like others says yes and no. Yes because there is other projects and activities I look forward to doing in warmer weather (lots of neglected landscaping this year). No because I find it relaxing and a great wind down after a stressful work day. My kitty and I have great bonding time. He's annoyed at me tonight, 8:30 PM and it's still 58 degrees. He meows, looks at me, looks at the cold stove, walks over lays on his back in front of the stove, meows, looks at me, looks at the stove.

For me I consider wood burning a hobby. I do it because I like it and like the benefits from it and many times spend more money then I need to on it. Fortunately I choose wood burning not as a necessity but simply as a want, I could always go back to 100% propane but wood burning is quite addictive and as I said before although a lot of work by July I'll be fed up with the heat and while I"m weedwacking around my stacks I'll be dreaming of the nice look and feel of the fire on a cold winters night.

I hate being cold but I do like my choice on how to get warm.

Well said n3. Well said.

Cutting, hauling, splitting, stacking and a bazillion hours here on the forum. Pretty much a labor of love.

Well, that and I don't like a cold house.

Meh. Not much burning for me this year. Too warm most of the time. My NG bill will be higher than average. :shut: I'd love to have run the stove more, but it's no fun at or above 50 °F .

For the burning season to come to an end?
I really enjoy heating with wood and the savings it provides, not to mention the "warmer heat" you get.
Wood burning is rewarding in more ways than one, but, sometimes I am just as happy to see the season end as I am when it begins.
Even though this was only my second season burning, I have learned alot, thanks to this site. I still have some issues, like the occasional over fire, but I will eventually figure it all out!?
I know alot of you still have plenty of burning season left, especially our friends up in AK, but I am looking forward to spring and warmer temps. Here in SW Ohio, March can bring just about anything, so I still have some burning left myself.

You don't wanna pickle, you just wanna ride your motorsickle. (can't fool me)
