Eastern Ma
After one of the warmest winters in recorded history (up here in the Northeast), the last thing I would've ever expected, would be burning on May 1st............::-)

Well, up here in the Northwest I'll be burning 'till mid June, if I'm lucky.

As long as it is still dropping in to the 40's and 30's at night my pellet stove is not getting shut down.

Same here still chilly at night

yep. still expecting more frost nights up here.
i'm now shooting for the 4 ton mark next year. that means cutting back from this year when i didn't have the oak for several months. or my vornado fans. or any experience.
adding some insulation to the back bedroom ceiling. and the enclosed back porch has been rebuilt. so that door/bottleneck of infiltration between the back room and the rest of the house will be closed down.
house has been sided and wrapped too. slats covered with cedar shakes were quite leaky.

i'm at 4 1/2 tons right now. :(
but a burning season of 7 months will do that to a guy.

Me too in Millinocket, Maine....I'm up to 5 1/2 tons...going to Walmart to buy 10 more bags..The Thelin has been going pretty much steady since Oct..running smooth and the house has been coozey...

hey, bigruckus.

A few nights with lows in the low 40's in the 15 day long range forecast so probably not quite done here yet.

If my old tom cat didn't have the 'ritis I'd clean my stove out for the summer season today.

Still burning here! Was using it to take the evening chill away, but today it's warming things up during a cold rain.

Running mine at night for awhile yet (looks like about 4 more bags then I'm out)

2 bags left, but will get more. I'm happy to be still burning. This stove is the best thing we ever bought. I can't get enough. Does the newness ever ware off?

Lugging many more tons and getting old will make it a different matter soon enough.

Dumped my last bag in yesterday, I'll need to get a few more. Hard freeze the last few nights.

Stove is keeping us warm and dry. Outside is cold and wet. Not ready to be cold or damp. No problem getting pellets around here. I still have some I am anxious to get used up.

On my way, can fit 60+ bags in the van.;)

when that time comes, i'll have the pallets set down right in front of the door to the enclosed back porch, leave the covers on and take bags inside a few at a time.
hopefully taking a full bag all the way to the stove won't be a problem.
but if i can't get one bag at least inside the porch, set it down and slice it open to pour or scoop from, that will be a sad day indeed.

i just have a feeling i will be chugging along nicely till pretty damn close to the end though.
