I'm gauging from personal experience in the woods, and also what I see driving around. I just don't see all the dead, leafless branches in the woodlots like I did not long ago.

Glad you still have some live ones. I see them in my travels, now and then.

The "live" ones days are obviously numbered! I just want them to stand as long as possible since they take up less yard space standing up. :)

That's simply beautiful.. Nice clean wood stacked with pride. I don't cut and split my own, those days are behind me so I have to buy my firewood by the cord and rarely does the product I receive look anywhere as nice as this does

Thanks guys. Can't wait to burn some of that ash next winter, for now I have three or so cords of maple, oak and a little ash in the shed well seasoned.

Nice haul, Dave_B! :)

Starting to be not too much left around here. I have had to start leaving some in the woods that wasn't worth taking home.
Heard dat. It's almost here and I'm wondering if I'll be able to keep up with it. I'm supplying four households that burn a couple of cords each per year...maybe I can keep up. I have five plus years stacked for me already though. Mostly Oak here but there's a bunch of White Ash, too.

Amen, Brother.

One nice thing about all the ash is that it will keep in the stack a long, long, long time and still burn great.

So that's 9 trees? Wow.

I know, I'm a wood burner, and I know the trees had to come down, but I'm still sad about this EAB and all the trees it's taking out. :(

Nice wood there Dave. Ash is one of the best and there is lots dying due to the eab. If i were u id put a tarp on the top i tarped mine this year and couldnt believe the difference it made in the quality and was so much drier. also dont be affraid to split some larger chunks for an all night burn

Nice Ash!

I stack three rows deep and have no problems. Time is the key.
