Haven't posted a pic in awhile, so here is one from today. Cutting about 2 miles from home lately, all the way to the far side of the farm. It will all belong to somebody else in two weeks so I have been cleaning up a bunch of dead trees while we still own it.

Looks like a beautiful day to be cutting out there, Quads! Love that color on the trees, I bet the air smelled good too. I love the sights and smells of the woods during fall!

That's Pretty Man!

quads, have you discussed the possibility of cutting there when the new owners take over?
Nice pic too.
Possibly, they are a local farm that is purchasing it. The biggest problem is they are sort of a factory type/irrigated farm, so the land will be cleared to make fields wherever they can. Most of the forested parts will be gone. Anyway, I do not normally cut on that part of the farm. The 80 acres I normally cut on will not be sold. Although my trail from my home to that land crosses land that is being sold, so that might be a problem! HA!

I do hope it all works out for you quads. Maybe you'll have to consider a helicopter to bring wood to the house?!

Any idea what they're going to do with the wood with the land they clear? Maybe you can score some of that.

They sell for pulp what they can. The rest will be pushed in big piles and burned. They work pretty fast when they clear land, way faster then me, so I doubt if I could get any of it then. HA!

Good luck with everything. Hope it all works out in the end. Be well

Great pic. Love the colors.

A good hard working guy will find a way.
Can tell you aren't worried to much about it.
Just another hurdle to overcome, not the first nor the last ;)
It'll work out just fine :)

Maybe when they cut the trees, they'll stack them up where you have access.
:)

Nice picture there Quads.
I reckon you'll find a way to access plenty of wood when you need it.
And if you can't find a way, you'll make a way.........:)

Maybe a paying gig to drop the trees is in your future.Getting paid to drop them, then selling the dry wood at a later date.

Sounds like a win-win to me.....
