I think people in this region are on high alert following the June derecho that crippled the electric grid. Power was out here for 12-20 days. Power companies from the Dakotas, Canada, and Florida were here working. this storm could be a big deal because they essentially "patched" the grid back together as fast as they could and didnt take care of all the trees that could have fallen, but for some reason didnt. There are still a whole lot of trees hanging precariously from above power lines from that storm in June. Add some heavy wet snow (in WV anyway) and some wind and we have the makings for another grid failure. Be prepared!!
