My Advance turned off during the middle of the night yesterday and I thought it was unusual since the temperature was over 5 degrees below what the stove was set to and the "status light" was also off and not blinking. Usually the stove keeps the temperature right on according to the thermometer I have in the room within 1-2 degrees. I normally run the stove in room temperature mode with the igniter switch in auto. Yesterday was the first time I saw the status light off without the mode selector dial set to off. According to the manual, the status light should be lit in either stove or room temp mode unless the mode dial is not within the off position band. I was able to run the stove in stove temp mode and eventually, after adjusting the temperature dial, was able to get it back to room temp mode. I am wondering if this is normal or something is going bad on the unit? I just replaced the igniter last month and the unit has been working great until now. I was thinking I might have a dead spot on the temperature dial since it has remained in that position for a while. Thanks for any thoughts/help. -Rick
