Usually some add at the top and one at the bottom. Very generic and usually hearth oriented. This on my iPad. I have a spam block. Don't know if that works for forums etc. but my e mail is fairly clean. No sexes stuff, no phony investment schemes.
Site profile likely says old men with money frequent hearth.com hence that particular ad.
Alexa has this to say:
Based on internet averages, hearth.com is visited more frequently by males who are in the age range 55-64, have no college education and browse this site from home.
No cookies required, some systems take a chance based upon requestor's IP addy and other available information.
I hope not, smokeshow's wife has them in a candy dish when i visit
That's what my wife just said too.....LOL
This laptop is actually my company computer and my I.T. firm allows NO cookies on it whatsoever...Now if it were our family computer...she would want some splaining!
Meanwhile, remember there is no free lunch and hosting a website isn't a cost free activity.
Then it's just domain and hosting space, which shouldn't be more than a few hundred a year at most.
not me i get Windhager ads for Europe's leading wood pellet boiler. Like I would buy a European boiler. I buy American
Good for you, but some of those European units are first class and even your American unit likely contains plenty of stuff from the other side of the big puddles.
Well almost all the parts are probably made else where but thats because we as Americans continue to buy everything made out of the USA and stopped producing in the USA. there is alot of quality merchandise made elsewhere. But we need to support the American made brand and the local shops in your areas to keep people working.
Hard to do these days. Hard to even find a light bulb made here! Specially the CFL's and LED's.

I agree thats because we have been buying everything from everywhere else for so long. we stopped producing anything. Sad but True
And the reason stuff is bought from elsewhere is?
People thinking short term - "I want it CHEAP!"
sure, but you even see that here with the posts on folks latest "Big Pellet Score".........with high fives all around.....hypocritical?
