My Jotul stove on one side of the house is easy to clean. I get on the roof and take the cap off and start pushing my brush down. Been doing that for 20 years. Now with a new insert placed in my 30 high chiminey, which is on an outside wall, I'm duped as to how to clean it. Can it be done from inside with a brush going up the chiminey? I for one don't have any plans on going up 35 to 40 feet to clean my chiminey!

I'm in the same boat , I have an old 3 story house with a 35ft tall chimney . I bite the bullet & pay to have a sweep clean it from the roof down . It costs me about $85 .

That's a pretty good price . . . a couple of guys I work with sweep on the side and I think they are charging $100-$125 per sweep depending on how far from home.
