Thanks for all the info, but If you can't take the noise... go back to oil!

That's one opinion and there are a lot of folks on here that would be of the opposite opinion.

The OP doesn't however have to go back to oil, there are other stoves that are both larger and quieter.

If enough folks are talking to England about it it will likely get worked on.

Just saw this thread. I have been experiencing the same issue as well. At heat setting 3 and blower setting 3, after about an hour of running the fan goes to a higher speed. I thought this was a normal function of the stove. I just shut the stove down and installed a split ringed washer under the heat sensor. I like this washer better than a regular one because it should keep the screw from backing out from the motor vibrations. Only issue now is that the threads on the screw are too short. Im not getting a good grab on the exhaust outlet. I will have to see is I can find a longer screw.

My combustion blower motor whines as well. Its not overpowering but is noticible.

My stove has always done this. Mine is always kept pristine and I figured I was just burning a good pellet that put off a lot of heat. Maybe Ill call Mike and see what he thinks. Maybe a bad thermal sensor or control board.
