Hi all,

When is the best time to buy a pellet stove?

Is there a season when dealers or manufacturers provide extra rebates or discounts?

Thanks in advance!

April or May when the demand is low and the dealers have carry over stoves that they would like to move. Check several stores and compare their stories and prices. They have money invested and sometimes they will offer a deal to reduce inventory. It also is a good time because they should have time to do a install without waiting to long.

I would say price wise would probably depend upon the manufacturer. I can tell you that with Harman, I've never really seen the prices vary from dealer to dealer or even season to season. If you visit their website, they are usually very generous and offer a whole $100.00 off of a $5K stove , which I find offensive! I will say that if you need to have it professionally installed, you are going to do MUCH better getting it done on your timeframe, in the off-season. Once October rolls around, most places are many, many weeks out to get an installation done.

Consider pellets also. I go to my guy in the spring and try to buy up left over inventory and usually get pellets for a decent discount.

I hope this works for me, as well.

Got my Harman when having major problems with my enviro bought it I. December. Had to wait 3 weeks for install it was like waiting 3 months lol.I called around and there was only 2 harman dealers near me. First place the guy was brusk and rude giving a high price and didn't want to give anything on my trade in. The second place the guy was great did the $100 coupon and they matched it also they gave me $200 for my trade in.What im saying is if you have a model in mind call around. Worked well for me. Good luck

If this record cold keeps rolling on, going to be raiding the rabbit hutches for something to burn.:) Temps dropped 15 degrees so far today with winds hitting near 50. Glad I can burn some corn. Local stores here were out of pellets first of March and we did not have this much cold. I seen some good deals on Englanders then too but what were you going to feed it? Although horse bedding is $250T so you still could keep warm.
