Just finished loading the wood rack, tarped a backup pile and got the generator all fueled up and ready to go and got out the snow shovels. Good luck to all you others on the east coast in the path of this storm!
Just started snowing here about 90 minutes ago - could get anywhere from 1-2 feet. Filled the woodbox (stacked to the ceiling!) and have a backup pile waiting under the deck. Tomorrow I'll be busy sledding with the kids, not hauling wood! Stay safe everyone.
Started here at 8pm. Snowblower ready. Generator check. Not going to work tomorrow. Mulberry and locust stacked and cookin in the stove. Safe traveling to all.
I did get to bring is some more Ash, clear the roof as good as I could, then off to work....tomorrow at first light, bring in some (a lot) of Oak....hopefully it won't hit here till I'm done
Got a call this morning at 0430 to stay home. Surprised me since they tell me I'm "essential personnel". Got quite a but here and it is still coming down hard. I'm finding it very " essential" to sit here in the basement with my stove and coffee in the man chair and cruise the net on how to throw myself deeper into the firewood obsession. Cheers and stay warm!
Been snowin here since about 0630...Couple inches so far, but later today they're talkin 2 - 3 inches PER HOUR.
Snowblower full & sittin in the shed, aimed at the driveway. Bring it.
I have power still but I don't know for how long. Driving home yesterday I saw several downed trees laying against the power lines from the last ice storm. Just a matter of time. I saw on the news how they already brought in a ton of out of state lineman crews
made the trip out to the stacks this morning (in the snow) to bring in more Oak....my Harbor freight $2.99 Tarps have had it....shredded....nothing like digging your firewood out of a foot plus of snow.....snowblower ready to roll
