Hi all, just checking in to see if you are getting great results from your inserts or stoves due to finally having a decent temp to burn in, instead of dealing with sub freezing temps with high wind chills....
I'm using less wood, heating very easily and more space to boot..... How's it going for you all......

I'm burning 2 half loads a day with the blower on only at night and the whole house has been 73 and higher. I usually burn the odds and ends and smaller pieces at this time of year to get rid of them. Its 38 tonight, so a little cooler than yesterday.

I ain't messing with it. The space heaters are hardly coming on and it is 71 in the joint. I don't need a mood fire. In fact another fire would ruin my mood right now.

A real wood burner would not talk that way. Keep it up and you will lose your wood burning card! lol

Yup! Got a fire going tonight. Cold rain outside, warm and toasty inside. It will soon be cold, the stove I mean. LOL

I used it for kindling last week. ;lol

The high was 43 today. Woke up this morning stove was out. House stayed around 68-69 throughout the day with no stove running. Started a half load from cold at 5pm and loaded it fully for the evening at 10pm. Still a low of 24 tonight but soooo much warmer... Nice only using 1 and 1/2 loads a day instead of 3-4.

Yesterday was the first day we were home all day AND let the fire burn out. 20s at night 40s during the day. (Right now anyway).

Long low burns, great heat retention in this stove, stays warm for hours after the last coal goes dark, now we start using kindling again.

Températures are hovering around 30-32F this morning. We got 2 inches of snow, and the Wind is blowing hard. I took this picture just before the Wind picked up. We still have 3-4 feet of snow on the ground. So, I`m still heating 24/7. Hopefully, this week will heat up a bit. Enough already!

One hot burn yesterday during the morning. Let it go out and given we had 4 hours of direct sun, our house got a thermal bump from the passive solar which gave me a night off from relighting the stove - First night off since end of October 2013! Woak up this morning to the house hovering around 70. No sun today so a hot burn this morning will carry us through until early evening where I'll do anther hot burn again.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I can't believe how much more efficient this stove is verses our old All Nighter! Completely baffles me sometimes. I've gone through less wood than last year when burning with the All Nighter yet its been crazy colder than it was last year!

Ugg. It was 23 last night. I got up at 6 and the house was 68. Loaded the stove. Now the sun is out, it is 43, the stove has a bunch of coals in it, and the house is now 81.... time to open some windows. Its stifling in here!

I've been running a load in the morning and a load at night, nothing to crazy, it keeps the house in the 70's which im use to. As far as a mood fire, I have one going right now, the weather is showers / mist, wind blowing about 15 - to 20 mph and the temp is 40, nice and cozy in my house. This actually reminds of November weather,

It didn't last long. Forecast was for rain and temp easing up to 48 or so today. Instead at noon temp started dropping like a rock and ice started falling. The stove has been rolling for a couple of hours.
