Just wondering how many Quad owners changed their control box setting to feed 10% more? Also read a cool post about setting the feed gate wide open to run stove on the low setting, how many do this? How manydo both?

Im leaving it alone until my box is outside of warranty.

I do not use the 10% and the feed gate is open but I run on medium. My quad contour (0ld Santa FE) is just to heat my 10x10 shed so I want a faster warm up and then with the T-stat it keeps it nice all day. :)

Standard setting with feed gate all the way closed

I run both of mine as the book says varying the feed gate as the pellet length and density require to get a flame height of 4-6" on HIGH. You MUST adjust the gate to suit the pellets batch you are running if you want to go by the book. IMHO, of course. Others run as they see fit with obviously results that suit them.
