Aaahhhhh yes - the beauty of pellet stoves Morning low temps in my area of CT have been 40 - 43ish, but the daytime HIGHS 68 - 72ish. If I still had my former wood stove, I would have never just lighted a fire for an hour then let it burn out. More than likely I would have just sucked up the cold temps and dealt with them rather than turning on my electric baseboard heat. BUT with a pellet stove, turn it on - a flame appears in a few minutes.... give it a quick blast... then switch to "OFF" and walk away!

Snowy, please explain why there is a large round hole in the air intake tube going to the firebox, which would delete the purpose using a OAK

Been there and doing it. Love the fact we can fire up and add heat..so far 1 bag used.

Still burning my first bag... may have to add a 2nd bag soon

Just turned ours on the low setting. low 50s heading into 40s by midnight. Might as well burn a quarter bag and wake up to 70 in the house.

LOVE IT! Although woodstoves are wonderful too, it's difficult 'just taking the chill off the house' during these late September mornings! (works just as well in April too lol

65 is toasty warm. That's what we set the stove to.

55 degrees at night is great sleeping weather with the windows open.
