I'm not sure what the convection deck does for a King and do you recommend I get it?
Does the blower kit really make a difference or should I save the $$ and just set up a box fan to blow air off/around the stove?

bout to squeeze off and need to figure out these last options.

Definitely get the blowers.

I believe the convection deck is standard on the Ultra, and not available for the other two. I wouldn't worry about it.

Get the blower's ==c

It was pretty cheap on my princess (relative to the total) and if it even helps a little bit then it was worth it. The stove looks better to me with the deck too.

On the princess you could have the fans without the convection deck. They were seperate options. If you have the same options then I would definitely get the blowers and if you must you could add it later.

Pretty sure it's the same on the king though you may have to get the ultra to get the convection deck..I dunno.

The convection deck is supposed to help air circulate from the floor then up behind the stove then over the stove where it is heated most without the blower on but of course would work with the blowers also.

As far as the blowers I hardly ever need to use them and I heat probably use my stove for 95% of my heating needs.

The trick to heating your house with wood is to keep the temp as consistent as possible.
It's way easier to hold a temp with a wood stove then to try and rise the temp in the house.

This is true and what I've found is that I only use the blowers when trying to rapidly add temperature to the house such as if the fire went out for some reason. I do not run them more than a few times per year but when I do they make major mojo. We heat 100% with wood all year. Sometimes you miscalculate how much colder a night will be and need to speed heat in the morning.

Blowers and Convection Deck it is

All our stoves are mobile home approved (freestanding). In order for the King Ultra to pass the ceiling test (7'), the convection deck was needed. That is why it is attached with tamper proof fasteners. There are no convection deck options for the other two King models, Parlor or Classic.

On Princess models, the convection deck is optional on all three versions.

Great weekend to all!
