At least had 20% more degree heat days than 2013... And 2013 was plenty cold to my recollection. Last I was chomping at the bit to start burning in October as it was my first full year using wood. Man what a difference a year makes... I'm already counting the weeks 'til mid April.

Here's to a warmer December!

im gunna run out of wood........ Again.... I even added 30% more wood after last year.

Coldest November in history here, apparently.

Its winter.

My truck won't start. Frozen starter. I forgot to plug it in. Ah well, its gonna go high of 3C (37.5F) end of this week.

Sweet.

For the last few years I've been burning as much wood before Jan, 1 as after and Nov. seems to be as bad as any. I think we have trouble getting used to the cold weather and want to keep the stoves going even on cool days. By the time we reach April, 50::F seems downright wonderful. I've stopped listening to long range weather forecasts.

November had exactly 1 more hearing degree day than last year at my location. This year I have burned slightly more cord wood in the wood eater but have burned 40% fewer bags of pellets in the pellet stove (19 this year vs. 31 last year)

That's interesting . . . I was thinking this Fall was more mild than normal . . . turns out I was wrong. Good to know. Thanks for the post.
