My Big E was working fine yesterday. I turned it on today and the exhaust fan just buzzes. Upon inspection said motor is magnetized. Removed, cleaned and oiled. No results. Help, Jim

Double check all your wire connections. Bench test as mentioned above if connections are intact. Keep us posted...

Plugged directly into wall, no go. Replaced POF and high temp. sensors motor still buzzes. I can flip the fan numerous times and motor eventually starts and continues to run. Jim

If you plugged the blower directly into the 120 from the house and it just buzzes you need go no further the motor is shot.

Guess it's time to put it out of it's misery .... buy a new exhaust fan. Don't forget to get a replacement gasket too...

OK, I'll bury it. Just couldn't understand why it ran after kick starting it. Wanted to make sure it wasn't another sensor or motherboard. Thanks guys, Jim

Keep the unit and do a complete cleaning and replace the bearings you will have a spare but as it is now it isn't going to be reliable.

I would want some bench test time before I would use it again.

I have one I recovered but will only use if push comes to shove.

There was just a bit of crud that got into the works but you could kick start it but not rely upon it.

It needed a good bit of care. That was my second exhaust blower. It got the case of being spacey during the coldest part of the winter.

The first was replaced under warranty as it was leaving stains underneath.
