I've never been charged a pallet deposit fee, bu tht eone time I was in need of a pallet and went to Lowe's during pellet season (knowing they should have plenty selling pellets by the bag) I was charged $12 for the pallet! Never again. For the next pallet I went to HD and was given one. This was all before I started having pellets delivered by the ton.
