Does anyone's wood gasification boiler have a strong ammonia smell when you clean the ashes out of the primary box?

I have been burning wood for decades, the last 5 years with a gasification boiler. Never smelled ammonia. Have you burned anything other than plain and reasonably dry wood such as treated or painted wood?

Mine never has and I've burnt plywood and finished trim, etc...

No just dry wood i cut. I think it could be from my refractory. I used plastec 85, I only used it because it was free, it was over 6 months old and getting dried out. It worked for me. Still get a wiff or 2 when I scoop ashes out.
