I was able to put a spring on the far end of the arm, closest to the combustion blower, going down to the bracket that the arm sits against at it's lowest point. I'll try and find a pic but I'm not sure I saved it but here's your technical description. One end hooks on that arm that is attached to the slide plate above the auger and the other end hooks up to a funky looking hooky thingy that is on the very back of the feeder weldment. :cool:

edited to add picture the "hooky thingy" is in the red square....

Interesting...... Thanks for the pic. Next time I pull the insert I'll have to take a better look & see if that bracket is there. Whats weird is, there's absolutely no evidence of there ever being a spring there at all.

There are two vertical ports that are just pass the wing screws on each side that would cause the 6 blinks. I have seen this before.
