I have a 2006 enviro empress fs, it's been a pretty great stove for me until recently. It had a hard time starting lately. So on a warmer day, I shut it down, tore it all down, as far as I could get the chamber. This is the very best I could have done. It works better, then I shut it down. Restarted it before bed, nothing, just the number 2 light on, and the combustion fan was frozen, won't turn. Bought a new fan from fleabay installed it, and I still get the number 2 light on. Instead of vacuum, I'm getting pressure from the hose. It seems the motor spins reverse from what my old one spun. I can't confirm because my old fan won't do anything. Am I missing something? Swapping the wires made no difference.
Thank you in advance!

If it is turning the wrong direction they sent you the wrong motor
To find out open door start stove is the air coming from the bottom
of the stove below the burn pot and around the heat exchanger ?
Or dust blowing out the door . If there is then it is the wrong
combustion fan . Note have some one to unplug the stove if it starts
blowing dust on top of everything else you don't need the mess.

I have the same stove, I replaced the motor twice and had no issues so it sounds like you have the wrong motor. Also if you tighten the screws to much on the motor it could bind the fan up.

Going by my pic, should new motor spin clockwise, or counter?

I have the paper manual that came with mine. The damper is wide open, and the stove is very clean, tore it all down 2 days ago.
I thought by looking at the fins, it would spin the other way, but then again, that's why I'm here asking lol

I tried closing it part way, different places, still the same. The new motor spins clockwise. But to compare my blade to others online, mine looks backwards. I watched the video here about combustion motors, and his is reverse of mine

Did you ever solve this? I am having the same exact problem with the same stove.

My old fan still works enough to confirm the motor is turning the same direction as the new one. Blades are identical, but no vacuum.

Negative, still not working correctly. I have up on it, and use my furnace until I have the $ for the tech to cone fix it. For such a simple setup, out sure is giving me fits, and I don't understand why lol
