I am enjoying my Enviro Milan insert and it seems to be working well but have some questions.
On high, the flame can get really tall and is easily hitting the heat exchanger. Is this ok?
When pellets drop in (especially before getting nice and hot) there are a lot of burning ash shooting around like fireworks. Many of these seem to be sucked into the cracks between the top of the brick wall and the metal plate on top. There is also a small slit around the chute that some ash goes into. Is this normal and where are these ashes ending up? I have cleaned the stove every few days including the pan, basket and exchanger. The manual says to remove the brick backing once per season - so I dont really know what is back there yet. Any advice or input would be appreciated.
