wow. nice looking "shed" i wish i had one like that.

Awesome job, congrats, but hey wheres the chimney? LOL

Thanks, Chimney will be going in very soon. It has too because that dang steel sure is slippery when it is wet, Snow is coming! I might be up there with towels and a hair dryer....

Looks nice, same color scheme I'm going with.

Fabulous! What are the dimensions and intended use of the main building? Is that being heated by in-floor radiant?

The main building is 36X48
Boiler room is 12X16
Tank area behind boiler room is 6X20

The building will mostly be used for extra storage. My attached garage is too full.

The boiler room/storage tank was built to replace my OWB. It will heat house in winter and pool in the summer.

I know many people will disagree but I did not do the in floor tubing. I did not want to heat it all the time as there will be many days or possibly weeks where I will not spend any amount of time out there. It would only reduce the amount of time I could go on burn/storage. I work 24 hour shifts so I want to to get maximum time from burn and storage.

I will eventually use some type of unit heater to provide quick heat out there when I might spend an evening out there.

My new shop is 32 x 48 x 16. My latitude is about 46N. If you are similarly located in WI, your heat needs may be similar to mine. This winter I will be able to produce data on btu's from wood burned (based on weighed wood), actual heat loss from the building as compared to calculated heat loss, and comparison with degree days (a reporting station is 6 miles from me).

A-1 job. great looking building.

thoughts
- nice to have the extra storage space, but it too will soon be full. i have an attached garage, a 24x36 unattached, a 35x75 truck garage. They are too full!
- i agree with infloor heat, for that set up. Only heat my trk garage when needed. Burn about 200gals of oil with unit heater.

good luck

Well, if that's what you call a "shed", you'd better add the cost of a wide angle lens for your camera to the cost if you ever decide to construct a "building".

Thanks for the comments.

I am excited to get the boiler hooked up and running. My wife has also been telling me to get the good heat hooked back up. She really like the heat from or OWB. Even though we have forced air, it was warmer than the LP burner. The duct work was warm to touch vs luke warm.

You can't tell from the pictures but the building is about the biggest I could fit in the site. I had to have a large amount of dirt carved from the hill to the north.

I have joked by calling it my Garden shed ;)

What are you putting in for a system?

Econoburn 200 with 1000 gallons pressurized storage.

I might have to get the boiler only going first and then get storage going. I have the tank in place, but these systems sure are complicated to set up.
