40 Degrees here and rain. Nasty and damp. And man are these systems touchy. Wood Gun running smooth. I am watching all the temps and pressures and feeding the boiler. Trying to tweek a little here and there. Having a beer and having a really cool time. Luckily I have the next two days off to play with this brand new system. My wife is making fun of me. Calling me a boiler nerd. She won't be dissapointed when we are not ordering oil this year. I slowly brought my boiler up to 140 °F last night and kept it there for a few hours. Then let it go out before I went to bed. Today I very slowly brought it back up to 140 °F and then gradually continued it up to 170 °F . The boiler is now heating the house and I have managed to tweek things a little bit to get the storage tank up to 160 °F while keeping the boiler at 170. That is with one or two zones calling for heat. The learning curve has begun! How many of you have fired up for the season so far?
