Figured I would bring it on over here to make it easier for others....

Always good to have new toys to play with! Cool, like the jugs sitting round the stove, good place for the empties..

That jug on the left is a very old 1 gallon beer crock and probably collectible.. Love stuff like that!

That's cool that beer (the jug on the left) was made by Smith Bros. Beer Brewery in New Bedford, Mass. aka "the whaling city" where I was born and raised.. The one on the right has a hole in it and some cracks so it's pretty fragile..
Thanx for compliment Michelle I need to play with the video a bit more to get better quality video and probably use my tripod to avoid seasickness lol..

Ray that looks great.....we have a bunch of those old stoneware jugs too.....not to mention a gaggle of pots, pans, ladles, spatulas, forks etc. from the late 1700's/early 1800s that we plan on hanging off of the mantel when we get the fireplace finished.....that stuff looks great around your stove, nice video thanks for sharing.....I'll put one up too, someday, if I ever get it done.....lol.....

Thanx Scott! I have one last thing to do before I consider the hearth done and that is to grout the tile to the red oak trim which I applied 3 coats of water based semi-gloss poly to yesterday.. Hope to get that done next weekend.. I'd do it today but I want to be sure the poly is fully hardened before I grout it in..

LOL yeah I was afraid of that Dennis! Until the grout is done this project is open and it will get done! My biggest concern with the grout is how to keep more of it off the carpet.. Easier said than done! Too warm to burn right now with the temp at 60.. Amazingly warm November here! We may break a record this month but feel we will pay for this later on..

Ray

Hold on Ray. We're sending some cooler air your way right now.

Ray[/quote]Agreed Ray......during our bear hunt yesterday I was dressed with nothing more than a tee shirt and my camo......and still sweated my rearend off......not to mention being covered with ticks by the end of the day..... I want some colder weather, it's just too miserable hunting in this warm weather!!!

I hear that Scott the deer probably will remove their fur coats if this keeps up! On the bright side even though I am burning because this is a new stove I am still using far less wood than if the temps were "normal"...
