Hello

A house over 400 sqft is considered a mobile home and all the permits and building codes apply!

So any house under 400 sqft needs NO permits and can be placed almost anywhere if on wheels!

See detailed video story of young boy building his 130 sqft home of the future in his parents backyard!

He purchased the wheel base for $2,000 to start and hoping to spend $12,000 total!

He saves money on materials
$25 sink from salvage yard and electrical wiring from left over scraps from job sites!

!

Really nice! I have to admire his energy and git-er-done attitude. This is what America is all about!

I think I'd go closer to the 400 sq foot. 130 seems just a tad small. Nice idea allthough taxes on a mobile home really arn't that much around here.

-That kid has a great work ethic. He has a notion, and he will arrive at it at some point.

-These folks were in Newburyport a few years back. Sadly their first trailer was totaled in an accident, but they are working on a smaller version.

They have a nice photo gallery on their site, as well as a really nice story of the Wayzalot.

Did he reinvent a camper? How heavy do you think that will be?

What he is building is not under the building codes! So that could be a problem but others have done it!

tumbleweed homes are neat. I watched a video series called "tiny yellow house" that was all about odd, small, functional living structures mostly made of repurposed and scrouged materials.

He better use a cat stove because a regular one is going to roast him out of there.

Its small enough he could just get a couple of cats to heat it.:)
