Makes for a full Subaru Impreza sedan. Plus my trunk only had room for 3 bags due to winter emergency gear.I had already unloaded a few before I decided to take a pic. :(

20 bags is the most I have carried in my Focus. No Kids in it though.

I put 14 in my Fusion. 8 in the truck and 6 in the back seat. Not sure I'd push much more. But she's new and I'm babing it a little.

How'ed it ride with 20 in it?

I made my decision of 20 after doing the Math of putting Four 250 Men in the car. Which is possible???

    (20 bags = 800 #'s) + (Little ole Me) = about 1,000.

Rode better than I thought, I will keep it at 15 though.

(Going to look at some Northern Lights tomorrow/ taking the truck/ guy has 5 skids (60 bags per skid) . So depending on condition and ease of loading? I may be bringing home some Canadian Softwood pellets tomorrow (hope there pretty good) Truck and Trailer are ready!!

Fine, I'm sure I could have put 6 more in it.
  11. imacman God of Fire

And an extra kid or 2. LOL.
  12. Geez! I'm thinking I really need to up the ante' - I usually just bring home 6 bags at a time in my sedan during my spontaneous pellet run adventures, all the time worrying about excessive wear & tear. Hell, call me crazy - but I think I will double my pellet load to 12 bags after reading this thread!

After seeing how neatly the bags are stacked, I'm expecting that the OPs next post will be about excessive fines. :)

    Edit......guess I got the wrong fines.......lol

Just check the vehicle's max load on the plate, and don't exceed it. I put 1,000 pounds (25 bags) in my Flex and still have some weight capacity left over. Nice, since two trips gets a ton, and I get the ton discount when I buy. That pays for the gas for both trips.

I have a 2002 Dodge Van, and my first big purchase was 25 bags or 1000Lbs. There are only about six bags left from that trip.
Next week, I will try to pick up a full ton. I'll need to completely empty the van and take the first few layers of bags off to fit in through the back door height. Then I'll see if the suspension can handle a full ton.

Now that the shed is almost complete, I should start stocking up to fill it.
I guess I can fit two to three ton in the shed.

This is why I always buy as much as I can when I see what I want. Once the word gets out, forget it.
Big box stores will not be selling pellets soon as we are getting late in the season. Bring on the spring sales! I've got my eyes on some west coast softies.

I bought a f 150 v8 4.5 years ago (used) and have driven it a total of 8500 miles. Since it is a half ton truck, that is all I have ever dared to put in it. I bought a ton of pellets last fall, but made two trips to bring it home (8 miles) Nice truck and I am hoping to keep it that way.
