I’m running 1/2” black pipe through the right side of my fireplace encloser, behind the metal box and then over to the left side where I’ll enter with black pipe to my Hargrove gas logs.

The 1/2” black pipe will be about 3 inches behind and below my metal firebox enclosure. I don’t imagine if that will get very hot at that distance, but I’d still like to hear from those of you with experience running pipe inside a fireplace enclosure if this is a safe distance.

Whatcha think?
