I've been burning my stove all winter with the pellet pot and the agitator rod in (so I don't plug the hole in the auger) and it seems to work for me. The only changes I made was to cut off the first 2 fingers and shortened the next 2 on the agitator rod. This leaves a pile of pellets by the auger and the ash is stirred up and blown away on the other end. Has anyone else tried something like this does anyone see any problems in my future?

To clarify I'm use the pot with the big air holes and the end in it like you would for burning corn.
