Does anyone have any information on a Alaska, single door, wood stove? Made in the early 80's? I believe it was called the "Nantuckit" model? Has two dampers on the door.

Also, I'm new here and absolutly love this site. I've been accused of looking at "Wood Stove Porn" at work because I like wood stoves, wood burning, cutting splitting, etc. so much!! Thanks for a great site and very helpful information!

Sorry to say I know nothing about that stove.

However welcome to the site from a fellow addict.

Is that the stove you are burning or one you are considering burning?

I don't have a visual reference either. Was that made by Hudson Stove Works?

Yes, this is a stove I am burning now. I had a new EPA certified high effiency stove and it was junk! Could only get 4 hrs max out of a load of seasoned rock oak and shagbark hickory. This stove get an easy 8-10 hrs and keep a constant stack temp of 350.

The model is actually a Klondike Ike modle

The stove was the first line of stoves made by Alaska, here in Bloomsburg, PA. The single door says "kodiak" on it and the model, I believe is a Klondike Ike model. That's all I know
