    Question:

    I've seen those "canned alcohol" fireplaces in catalogs.

    Since I'm really looking for something more for appearance than as a heat source, and as I live in a condominium apartment, I thought one of these might be the right thing for me.

    Do you have any info on these and who manufactures them?

    Try the fireplaces by La Flame (link below).
    You may also look at electric fireplaces. These are made by Innohearth (below) as well as Dimplex and Heat N' Glo.
