I noticed myself using furniture polish on the harman 3 times a week, cleaning the glass and doing a basic clean every day even if it dont need it, and keeping 140 lbs of pellets in the hopper at all times. I find myself checking the hopper even though the stove has only been running for 2 hours and has enough in it for the next 3 days. I didnt know if i am crazy, have ocd or some other strange condition. I just cant help myself and my wife is no help either. The low for the night is 49 and she was asking why the stove wasnt fired up yet. She even calls it "The Harman".

Wait until you get to the point you check the hopper when the stoves not on.

Do you watch the weather to see when its going to be cold enough to fire up the stove and what days it will be needed and not to be prepared so you stay warm but so you can tinker with it?

Nothing wrong with taking care of what takes care of you and the family. Just being responsible for the stove. It's a good thing being compulsive. I find myself doing the same thing with my chainsaw, log splitter, wood piles and naturally the stoves.

if you line all the pellets up in the same direction you can get several more pounds in the hopper.

Waiting patiently for Mad Dog to break down the exact number of extra pellets that will fit in each stove and which direction the pellets should be aligned to maximize capacity!:p

Lots of stoves he is still counting, please don't interrupt him when he is counting what the furnace hoppers hold, the last person that did that is still in transit to Pluto.

I'm with ya buddy. Cept I'm usually wearing my fancy lab coat with the dandy pocket protector! I got a cool new nerdy hat to wear this year. Instead of weighing the pellets samples maybe I'll just count them! A lil tough seeing I can only count to ten! ;em
