    I have a Speeco. If I remember right it says it's made in Boulder Colorado.

    The sticker on my Huskee (SpeeCo) is a USA flag with the words "Assembled in USA". Much of it is manufactured elswhere.

    Splitter manufacturers fabricate the beam, wedge, and push plate assembly but out source the engine, pump ,cylinder, control valve, and hoses. The out sourced parts which may have USA brand names are often produced in China.

    thanks for all the leads, doin research now.
    also stumbled on Gravely splitters made in Wisconsin. we have a Gravely zero turn mower now & it is built very well.
    yep, i've seen the "assembled in USA stuff"...in my opinion, that is just not good enough for this day & age. just trin to save a job here and it ain't a lookin cheap.

    Ariens owns Gravely...they are the same units - both made in Wisconsin. Pretty nice splitter as well - IMO.
