Report on the radio is the plant in Jaffery is on Fire, no the real Fire. Burning right now, they have the roads closed as the heat and flames are out of control...

    Hope no one is hurt..........

Who knows? This might have the same effect on pellet pricing as a sabotaged pipeline in Nigeria.

It looks like one of the silos is on fire, hopefully not the production equipment.

New England Wood Pellet LLC suffered damage from a fire that started Sunday night at the Jaffrey manufacturing plant, but fortunately no one was injured. The fire and damage were contained. The plant will resume operations as soon as it is deemed safe.

    Thank you,

Thank you for the update Alyson. Please let us know how this will impact your production, inventory, and shipments so we can get a better idea how this might impact those of us who are currently waiting for NWP from your dealers.

The good news is...no one was hurt :) And the other good news is......are we so vulnerable that a plant catching fire and being shut short term is going to sky rocket pellets as a hurricane does for oil in the gulf? We have alot of plants online and they did say the fire was contained....pellets are securing than ever before. It seems the stove orders are the ones we need to worry about not pellets. The stores will lbe loading their supplies very soon. :)

update from WMUR.com is that the fire is out in the sawdust silo but is still smoldering in the finished product silo.
