My igniter quit working. For now, I got it lit an am leaving the stove on low until I get it fixed. Should I just order a new one and replace or should I pull it out and verify power to it first. Even if it is something else might be good to have on hand. I was looking to get from

Thanks for any advise. Also is there a special tool to loosen? BTW, I cleaned the pot and the igniter is not getting warm at all. The stove is a 2008 model.

You can try searching the forum for other troubleshooting tips if they are not found in your manual. Remember to unplug your stove before ...

Ignitor should ohms test at 45 -50; can cord test with external electrical cord to determine if it is just the ignitor
