I am in the design phase of a master bedroom and want a woodstove in there. I don't have a lot of square footage and would like it next to an outside wall. Ideas on the type of wall or what type of stove? The home is a contemporary style with lots of glass and in floor heating, but I love the stove in the other part of the house and I have plenty of woods to harvest.

I don't believe you can put a woodstove in a bedroom and meet code.

Ya, strikly verbotten.

Can I put a pellet stove in a bedroom, or is that out also?

Dunno about where you live, but in Oregon, the answer is no. Do some searching online, you may be able to find your state's codes, even if just available in a "read-only" format. The kinds of things we're talking about here are generally addressed in the "mechanical" sections of the codes. Rick

No solid fuel burning appliances allowed in sleeping spaces anywhere that I know of. Only direct vent gas.
