Hi,
I am receiving a new Napoleon, in black porcelain enamel, probably on Friday.
The dealer I bought it from (Woody at Obadiah's) recommended that I burn the 3 burn-in fires outside, so I don't stink up the house with the paint curing/burning off.
I have read on this forum that people also open windows up in the house too, to help ventilate, and get the stink out of the house.
Question:
How bad is it, the burn-in inside the house?
If I burn it outside, will the stove burn be acceptable to burn/season the paint, with NO flue installed on the stove? The installer is bringing my new pipe over on the 11th when they do the install of the pipe, so I don't have any pipe to attach to it outside.
Looking forward to getting to start burning some wood.
Thanks much!
