    This website is awesome! My question is in regards to an older model Memco wood/coal boiler. If cost is not a factor, which fuel is better coal or wood? I am wondering wich fuel would have a cleaner, longer, controlled burn.



    Answer:

    Hard coal will burn longer and hotter, once you get the hang of burning it. Check out the coal burning tips at http://hearth.com/what/specific.html
