Can anyone identify this axe?

I bought this hewing axe about a year ago and cannot seem to find out anything about it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Interesting, Appears to be a tool used in something besides wood production, maybe in the block ice business before the refrigerated era...I dunno.

Pretty sure that's a hewing axe. Left handed? I know nothing about hewing but from what I understand the "hand" is not the hand you use but the direction of the cut. Neat find.
