Can't Sqeeze Anymore In

So I took advantage of the local Lowes "price reduction" on pellets and bought 3 tons of Somersets today at $3.05/bag using a 10% off coupon. The Ford Fusion moaned all the way home with the first half ton load

They actually set my purchase aside and put my name on it and are allowing me to pick up a little at a time over the next week. Hey company car burning company gas equals FREE delivery...kinda since I have to throw them all.

Very nice. I give credit to the Fusion also. My civic moaned with only 16 bags. The wifed Prius actually hauls pellets better. We should start a new topic called "what compact car hauls the most pellets".

Wow! 1/2 ton in a fusion and 16 bags in the civic!?! Silly me for sticking to cargo capacity of the subaru and keeping it to 13 bags. The good news is I get most of my pellets at a TSC that's about 2 miles from my house....don't mind 4 trips/ ton. Picked up and stacked two tons of MWP in about 2 hours between my subaru and my son's Ford Escort a couple weeks ago.

Damn... Went from a Corn furnace last season (beginning) to adding 2 pellet stoves and 9.5 ton of Pellets!


With 8.5 ton of them being Somersets!

Hehe. I consider it luck to have this many Somersets around this year. Who knows what kinda crap we'll be stuck with in the future. When I get done with Lowes all they'll have is the brown bag Marth.
